Driving systemic change through gender-responsive implementation, research, and advocacy
At BUNARGED, our mission is to dismantle the social, economic, and cultural barriers that hinder the full participation and empowerment of women and girls in Chad. We are committed to promoting gender equity through a holistic approach that combines on-the-ground implementation, rigorous research, and strategic advocacy.
Implementation – Turning vision into action
We believe that meaningful change starts at the community level. Our projects are designed to respond directly to the lived realities of women and girls, particularly in underserved and marginalized areas. Through inclusive planning, we ensure that our interventions in health, education, economic empowerment, and social justice are not only effective but also sustainable and owned by the communities we serve.
We do not impose solutions—we co-create them with local stakeholders, ensuring that beneficiaries are active participants in designing, executing, and sustaining our initiatives. Whether we are establishing girls’ health programs, promoting reproductive rights, or offering entrepreneurship training, our goal is to build lasting impact rooted in local empowerment.
Research – Generating knowledge for lasting solutions
Data and evidence are the foundation of change. Our mission includes conducting qualitative and quantitative research to understand the structural drivers of gender inequality, track progress, and inform effective policy decisions.
From conducting community diagnostics to studying gender-based violence and evaluating the impact of development projects, our research provides decision-makers with the tools needed to build gender-responsive policies. We also promote open access to gender data, so that our findings can support national development and strengthen international advocacy.
Through this research, we ensure that the voices and experiences of women and girls are not only heard but centered in the design of social policies and programs.
Advocacy – Raising voices, influencing change
We are a voice for the voiceless—working to bring women’s and girls’ rights to the forefront of public discourse and national development. Through public forums, policy dialogue, and awareness campaigns, we advocate for inclusive laws, policies, and social norms that support gender justice.
